DHAKA: The benchmark indices of the country’s two bourses – Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) and Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE) – witnessed gain on Monday (December 5), the second trading day.
The key index of Dhaka Stock Exchange, DSEX, gained over 14.03 points and 0.29 percent to stand at 4836.32 at the end of trading.
Trade deals stood at 161,412 with transaction at Tk 8077.85 million.
Of the issues traded, 146 advanced, 129 declined and 46 remained unchanged.
Shasha Denims Limited topped the turnover list with shares worth Tk 322.15 million having changed hands on the day.
The other toppers are Bangladesh Building Systems Ltd., IFAD Autos Limited, Keya Cosmetics Ltd., Keya Cosmetics Ltd., Bangladesh Export Import Company Ltd., Ratanpur Steel Re-Rolling Mills Limited, Active Fine Chemicals Limited, GPH Ispat Ltd., Argon Denims Limited and Orion Pharma Ltd.
Chittagong stocks also followed the trend, as CSCX, the prime index, gained 24.81 points to stand at 9056.15.
Out of the issues traded, 116 gained, 93 declined and 37 remained unchanged. The total value of exchange was over Tk 490.64 million.
