DHAKA: The two bourses of the country -- Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) and Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE) -- witnessed gain in share price indices on Tuesday (December 6).

DSEX, the prime index of Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE), gained over 9.76 points or 0.20 percent to stand at 4846.09 points at the end of day’s trading.

Trade deals stood at 157,113 with transaction over Tk 7953.64 million. Of the issues traded, 146 advanced, 127 declined and 49 remained unchanged.

The IFAD Autos Limited topped the turnover list with shares worth Tk 618.81 million having changed hands on the day.

Other toppers of the market were Bangladesh Building Systems Ltd., BRAC Bank Ltd., Shasha Denims Limited, Argon Denims Limited, Golden Harvest Agro Industries Ltd., Olympic Accessories Limited, BDCOM Online Ltd., Square Pharmaceuticals Ltd. and Quasem Drycells Ltd.

The Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE) also followed the suit, as CSCX, the prime index of the port city bourse, gain over 10.94 points to stand at 8588.94 points on the day.

Of the issues traded in the port city share market, 118 gained, 110 declined and 24 remained unchanged. The total value of exchange was over Tk 600.85 million.
