DHAKA: The two bourses of the country – Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) and Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE) – witnessed gain in share prices indices on Thursday (December 8), the last trading day of the week.

DSEX, the prime index of DSE, gained over 21.52 points or 0.44 percent to stand at 4892.81 points at the end of days trading.

Trade deals stood at 181,247 with transaction at over Tk 11498.32 million. Of the issues traded, 151 advanced, 125 declined while 49 remained unchanged.

Aftab Automobiles Limited topped the turnover list with shares worth Tk 297.38 million having changed hands.

The other toppers are Shasha Denims Limited, IFAD Autos Limited, Olympic Accessories Limited, Ratanpur Steel Re-Rolling Mills Limited, GBB Power Ltd., Quasem Drycells Ltd., City Bank Ltd., Argon Denims Limited and Fortune Shoes Limited.

The CSE also followed the trend as CSCX, the prime index of the port city bourse, gained over 41.32 points to stand at 9151.66.

Of the issues traded in the port city share market, 143 advanced, 74 declined while 34 remained unchanged.

The total value of exchange was over Tk 583.06 million.
