DHAKA: The two bourses of the country – Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) and Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE) – witnessed mixed trends in share prices indices on Monday (December 12), the second trading day of the week.
DSEX, the prime index of DSE, DESX gained over 8.47 points or 0.17 percent to stand at 4869.59 points at the end of days trading.
Trade deals stood at 146,849 with transaction at over Tk 7412.36 million. Of the issues traded, 131 advanced, 141 declined while 53 remained unchanged.
Bangladesh Building Systems topped the turnover list with shares worth Tk 470.72 million having changed hands.
The other toppers are MJL Bangladesh Limited, Ratanpur Steel Re-Rolling Mills Limited, IDLC Finance Ltd., IFAD Autos Limited, Golden Harvest Agro Industries Ltd., National Tea Company, AFC Cargo, CMC Kamal Textile Mills Ltd. and Apollo Ispat Ltd.
The prime index of CSE, CSCX, however, lost over 11.19 points to stand at 9081.70.
Of the issues traded in the port city share market, 81 advanced, 131 declined while 37 remained unchanged.
The total value of exchange was over Tk 456.69 million.
