DHAKA: The two bourses of the country – Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) and Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE) – witnessed gain in share prices indices on Wednesday (December 14), the fourth trading day of the week.
DSEX, the prime index of DSE, DESX gained over 37.32 points or 0.76 percent to stand at 4906.92 points at the end of days trading.
Trade deals stood at 186,872 with transaction at over Tk 10646.35 million. Of the issues traded, 179 advanced, 100 declined while 44 remained unchanged.
Bangladesh Building Systems topped the turnover list with shares worth Tk 697.73 million having changed hands.
The other toppers are Lafarge Surma Cement Ltd., Active Fine Chemicals Ltd., Appollo Ispat Complex Ltd., Ratanpur Steel Re-Rolling Mills Limited, IFAD Autos Limited, AFC Cargo, MJL Bangladesh Limited, BD Thai Aluminum Ltd. and Summit Alliance Port Ltd.
The prime index of CSE, CSCX, also followed the trend, gaining over 69.20 points to stand at 9150.90.
Of the issues traded in the port city share market, 137 advanced, 81 declined while 37 remained unchanged.
The total value of exchange was over Tk 670.21 million.
