DHAKA: The two bourses of the country -- Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) and Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE) – are witnessing gain in share price indices in the opening hour on Thursday (December 15), the fifth and final day of the trading session.
DSEX, the prime index of Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE), gained over 26.33 points or 0.53 percent to stand at 4933.25 points at 12:24 pm.
Trade deals stood at 92,618 with a transaction over Tk 5347.07 million. Of the issues traded, 129 advanced, 131 declined and 50 remained unchanged.
Lafarge Surma Cement Ltd. topped the turnover list with shares worth Tk 626.91 million having changed hands till then.
The Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE) also followed the suit, as CSCX, the prime index of the port city bourse, acquired over 34.55 points to stand at 9185.46 points till 12:21 pm.
Of the issues traded in the port city share market, 82 gained, 91 declined and 39 remained unchanged. The total value of exchange was over Tk 288.10 million.
