DHAKA: The two bourses of the country -- Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) and Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE) -- witnessed gain in share price indices on Monday (December 19), the second trading session of the week.
DSEX, the prime index of Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE), gain over 3.06 points or 0.06 percent to stand at 4941.65 points at the end of day’s trading.
Trade deals stood at 189,007 with transaction at over Tk 11201.55 million. Of the issues traded, 147 advanced, 135 declined and 43 remained unchanged.
Bangladesh Building Systems Limited topped the turnover list with shares worth Tk 476.98 million having changed hands on the day.
Other toppers of the market include Square Pharmaceuticals Ltd., Saif Power, IFAD Autos and Lafarge Surma Cement Ltd.
The Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE) also followed the suit, as CSCX, the prime index of the port city bourse, gain over 7.24 points to stand at 9216.37 points on the day.
Of the issues traded in the port city share market, 122 gained, 111 declined and 27 remained unchanged. The total value of exchange was over Tk 525.78 million.
