DHAKA: The two bourses of the country -- Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) and Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE) -- witnessed loss of share prices indices on Tuesday (December 20).
DSEX, the prime index of DSE, shed over 10.48 points or 0.21 percent to stand at 4931.17 points at the end of day’s trading.
Trade deals stood at 173,318 with transaction at over Tk 9326.31 million. Of the issues traded, 99 advanced, 175 declined and 50 remained unchanged.
Bangladesh Export Import Company Limited topped the turnover list with shares worth Tk 327.88 million having changed hands on the day.
Meanwhile, the CSE also followed the trend as CSCX, the prime index of the port city bourse, lost over 11.77 points to stand at 9204.60 million.
Of the issues traded in the port city share market, 99 gained, 120 declined and 32 remained unchanged. The total value of exchange was over Tk 622.92 million on the day.
