DHAKA: The two bourses of the country -- Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) and Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE) -- witnessed gain in share price indices on Tuesday (December 27).

DSEX, the prime index of Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE), gained over 23.21 points or 0.46 percent to stand at 5016.74 points at the end of day’s trading.

Trade deals stood at 215,275 with transaction over Tk 12103.46 million. Of the issues traded, 174 advanced, 133 declined and 20 remained unchanged.

The Bangladesh Export Import Company Ltd. topped the turnover list with shares worth Tk 359.91 million having changed hands on the day.

The Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE) also followed the suit, as CSCX, the prime index of the port city bourse, gain over 36.52 points to stand at 9360.14 points on the day.

Of the issues traded in the port city share market, 140 gained, 108 declined and 17 remained unchanged. The total value of exchange was over Tk 785.79 million.
