DHAKA: The two bourses of the country -- Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) and Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE) – are witnessing gain in share price indices in the opening hours on Monday (January 2), the second trading session of the week.
DSEX, the prime index of Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE), gained over 27.42 points or 0.53 percent to stand at 5111.31 points at 12:47 pm.
Trade deals stood at 143,077 with a transaction over Tk 8822.26 million. Of the issues traded, 182 advanced, 113 declined and 29 remained unchanged.
Bangladesh Building Systems Ltd. topped the turnover list with shares worth Tk 465.93 million having changed hands till then.
The Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE) also followed the suit, as CSCX, the prime index of the port city bourse, acquired over 54.17 points to stand at 9512.14 points till 12:42 pm.
Of the issues traded in the port city share market, 132 gained, 92 declined and 37 remained unchanged. The total value of exchange was over Tk 446.60 million till filing the report.
