DHAKA: The two bourses of the country -- Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) and Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE) – are witnessing gain in share price indices in the opening hours on Wednesday (January 4), the fourth trading session of the week.
DSEX, the prime index of Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE), gained over 10.14 points or 0.19 percent to stand at 5147.88 points at 13:19 pm.
Trade deals stood at 135,587 with a transaction over Tk 8077.92 million. Of the issues traded, 144 advanced, 147 declined and 33 remained unchanged.
Argon Denims Ltd. topped the turnover list with shares worth Tk 440.97 million having changed hands till then.
The Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE) also followed the suit, as CSCX, the prime index of the port city bourse, acquired over 8.76 points to stand at 9580.97 points till 13:15 pm.
Of the issues traded in the port city share market, 119 gained, 104 declined and 16 remained unchanged. The total value of exchange was over Tk 469.88 million till filing the report.
