DHAKA: Bangladeshi gold merchants have increased the price of gold by around Tk 1,283 per bhori (11.664 grams).
Gold in the local market will be sold at Tk 46,073 per bhori of 22-carat from Saturday (January 14) which was Tk 44,790 till Friday.
Bangladesh Jewellers’ Samity (BJS) issued a press release in this regard on Friday (January 13).
In the release, BJS said that the newly fixed prices of different carats of gold are: a bhori of 21-carat gold is Tk 44,032, 18-carat Tk 38,491, and the traditional gold Tk 25,078.
