DHAKA: The ‘3rd Bangladesh Expo-2017’ single country trade fair was inaugurated today by Deepak Bohara, Minister for Supplies of Nepal and Mashfee Binte Shams, Ambassador of Bangladesh to Nepal.
The Expo is being held at Bhrukutimandap Exhibition Hall, Kathmandu and will run from January 17-21.
The Expo is showcasing products of entrepreneurs and renowned business houses from Bangladesh including Building and construction materials, Ready Made Garments, Plastic products, Cosmetics, Ceramics/tiles, Jute and jute products, Leather products, Textiles, Footwear, Electronics items, Handicrafts, generators/machineries, Processed food, IT Solutions, Education Institutions, Consumer products, Batteries, Cement, Bathroom Fittings, Motor Cycle, Home Appliance, Jewelry etc.
Selected Nepalese exporters have also been invited to showcase their products at the Expo with a view to promoting Nepalese exports to Bangladesh.
It is expected that the Expo will create a platform for exchange of information and ideas and provide an opportunity for entrepreneurs of the two countries to explore B-2-B linkages for harnessing the available synergies in the areas of trade and business for mutual benefit.
The inaugural program was also attended by Naindra Prasad Upadhaya, Secretary of Ministry of Commerce of Nepal, Hari Bhakti Sharma, President of CNI, Dr. Rajesh Kazi Shrestha, President of NCC and Bhawani Rana, Senior Vice President of FNCCI as Special Guests.
The Expo will be open from 10.00 am to 6.00 pm every day.
