DHAKA: The two bourses of the country -- Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) and Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE) -- witnessed gain in share price indices on Tuesday (January 24).
DSEX, the prime index of Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE), gained over 38.45 points or 0.67 percent to stand at 4586.25 points at the end of day’s trading.
Trade deals stood at 275,536 with transaction over Tk 20134.49 million. Of the issues traded, 114 advanced, 199 declined and 15 remained unchanged.
The Bangladesh Steel Re-Rolling Mills Limited topped the turnover list with shares worth Tk 730.97 million having changed hands on the day.
The Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE) also followed the suit, as CSCX, the prime index of the port city bourse, gain over 95.47 points to stand at 10741.89 points on the day.
Of the issues traded in the port city share market, 95 gained, 165 declined and 12 remained unchanged. The total value of exchange was over Tk 1,198.24 million.
