DHAKA: The two bourses of the country -- Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) and Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE) -- are witnessing loss in share price indices in the opening hours on Thursday (January 26), the final trading session of the week.
DSEX, the prime index of Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE), shed over 0.77 points or 0.01 percent to stand at 5620.50 points at 12:47 pm.
Trade deals stood at 105,001 with a transaction over Tk 7067.72 million. Of the issues traded, 129 advanced, 164 declined and 32 remained unchanged.
Islami Bank Limited topped the turnover list with shares worth Tk 481.71 million having changed hands till then.
The Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE) also followed the suit, as CSCX, the prime index of the port city bourse, lost over 25.52 points to stand at 10546.28 points till 12:45 pm.
Of the issues traded in the port city share market, 94 gained, 117 declined and 21 remained unchanged. The total value of exchange was over Tk 327.05 million till filing the report.
