DHAKA: Investors witnessed fall in the benchmark indices of the country’s bourses – Dhaka Stock Exchange and Chittagong Stock Exchange - on Thursday (January 26).
The key index of Dhaka Stock Exchange, DSEX, shed over 2.63 points and 0.04 percent to stand at 5618.64 at the end of the day’s trading.
Trade deals stood at 196,071 with transaction at Tk 12696.08 million.
Of the issues traded, 108 advanced, 193 declined and 27 remained unchanged.
The Islami Bank Bangladesh Limited topped the turnover list with shares worth Tk 675.44 million having changed hands.
Chittagong stocks also followed the suit, s CSCX, the prime index, climbing down to 10548.97 by dropping over 22.83 points.
Out of the issues traded, 87 gained, 156 declined and 18 remained unchanged. The total value of exchange was over Tk 724.32 million.
