DHAKA: The two bourses of the country -- Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) and Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE) -- are witnessing loss in share price indices in the opening hours on Sunday (January 29), the first trading session of the week.
DSEX, the prime index of DSE, shed over 35.88 points or 0.63 percent to stand at 5582.76 points at 12:43 pm.
Trade deals stood at 104,333 with a transaction over Tk 6335.35 million. Of the issues traded, 83 advanced, 224 declined and 15 remained unchanged.
Bangladesh Export Import Company Limited topped the turnover list with shares worth Tk 387.56 million having changed hands till then.
The Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE) also followed the suit, as CSCX, the prime index of the port city market, lost over 80.91 points to stand at 10468.06 points till 12:36 pm.
Of the issues traded in the port city share market, 58 gained, 150 declined and 12 remained unchanged. The total value of exchange was over Tk 345.07 million till filing the report.
