DHAKA: The two bourses of the country -- Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) and Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE) -- witnessed gain in share price indices on Wednesday (February 1), the fourth day of the trading week.

DSEX, the prime index of Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE), acquired over 5.55 points or 0.01 percent to stand at 5473.89 points at the end of day’s trading.

Trade deals stood at 155,872 with the transaction over Tk 8825.57 million. Of the issues traded, 183 advanced, 112 declined and 32 remained unchanged.

Islami Bank Bangladesh Ltd. topped the turnover list with shares worth Tk 352.45 million having changed hands on the day.

The Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE) also followed the suit, as CSCX, the prime index of the port city bourse, gained over 3.37 points to stand at 10276.36 points on the day.

Of the issues traded in the port city share market, 132 gained, 100 declined and 24 remained unchanged. The total value of exchange was over Tk 508.15 million.
