DHAKA: The two bourses of the country -- Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) and Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE) -- witnessed gain in share price indices on Monday (February 6), the second day of the trading week.
DSEX, the prime index of Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE), acquired over 40.22 points or 0.75 percent to stand at 5363.09 points at the end of day’s trading.
Trade deals stood at 114,300 with the transaction over Tk 5762.20 million. Of the issues traded, 223 advanced, 71 declined and 31 remained unchanged.
SAIF Powertec Ltd. topped the turnover list with shares worth Tk 355.12 million having changed hands on the day.
The Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE) also followed the suit, as CSCX, the prime index of the port city bourse, gained over 77.97 points to stand at 10045.36 points on the day.
Of the issues traded in the port city share market, 163 gained, 63 declined and 25 remained unchanged. The total value of exchange was over Tk 467.11 million.
