DHAKA: The two bourses of the country -- Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) and Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE) -- witnessed gain in share price indices on Tuesday (February 7), the third day of the trading week.
DSEX, the prime index of Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE), acquired over 29.00 points or 0.54 percent to stand at 5392.10 points at the end of day’s trading.
Trade deals stood at 148,921 with the transaction over Tk 6203.24 million. Of the issues traded, 180 advanced, 107 declined and 39 remained unchanged.
Pacific Denims Ltd. topped the turnover list with shares worth Tk 626.74 million having changed hands on the day.
The Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE) also followed the suit, as CSCX, the prime index of the port city bourse, gained over 45.47 points to stand at 10090.84 points on the day.
Of the issues traded in the port city share market, 128 gained, 89 declined and 20 remained unchanged. The total value of exchange was over Tk 444.40 million.
