DHAKA: The two bourses of the country -- Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) and Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE) -- witnessed gain in share price indices on Monday (February 20), the second day of the trading week.
DSEX, the prime index of Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE), gained over 21.98 points or 0.39 percent to stand at 5604.99 points at the end of day’s trading.
Trade deals stood at 199,515 with the transaction over Tk 12979.36 million. Of the issues traded, 115 advanced, 164 declined and 51 remained unchanged.
Baraka Power Ltd. topped the turnover list with shares worth Tk 446.62 million having changed hands on the day.
The Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE) also followed the suit, as CSCX, the prime index of the port city bourse, acquired over 42.66 points to stand at 10539.18 points on the day.
Of the issues traded in the port city share market, 103 gained, 131 declined and 28 remained unchanged. The total value of exchange was over Tk 631.71 million.
