DHAKA: PRAN, a leading food processor of Bangladesh, will export $2 million worth of products to the Netherlands.

In this connection, an agreement was signed between PRAN and Engel Foreign Food Group at PRAN-RFL Center on Wednesday, says a press release issued on Saturday (February 25).

Under the deal, PRAN will export its noodles, juice and confectionery items to the European country.

Eleash Mridha, Managing Director of PRAN and Wim Engel, CEO of Engel Foreign Food Group signed the deal on behalf of their respective organizations for a year. 

Eleash Mridha said the demand for PRAN’s products is gradually increasing in European countries.

PRAN products will be available in the Netherlands due to the agreement. PRAN exports its products to different European countries including Netherlands, France, Italy, Greece, Cyprus and UK regularly, he added.

Wim Engel said: “PRAN is a popular company in Bangladesh. The company has also good image in many parts of the world. I hope PRAN products will get more popularity in the Netherlands.”

Golam Rasul, Assistant General Manager (Export) and Mahmudul Hasan, Assistant Manager (Export) of PRAN, among others, were present at the signing ceremony. 

PRAN exports its products to 134 countries. The Group has exported $184 million worth of products in FY 2015-16.
