DHAKA: The two bourses of the country -- Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) and Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE) -- witnessed loss in share price indices on Tuesday (February 28), the third day of the trading week.
DSEX, the prime index of Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE), shed over 7.55 points or 0.13 percent to stand at 5612.69 points at the end of day’s trading.
Trade deals stood at 173,440 with the transaction over Tk 11524.43 million. Of the issues traded, 139 advanced, 136 declined and 54 remained unchanged.
Active Fine Chemicals Ltd. topped the turnover list with shares worth Tk 657.06 million having changed hands on the day.
The Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE) also followed the suit, as CSCX, the prime index of the port city bourse, lost over 9.50 points to stand at 10536.26 points on the day.
Of the issues traded in the port city share market, 109 gained, 115 declined and 33 remained unchanged. The total value of exchange was over Tk 932.93 million.
