DHAKA: The two bourses of the country -- Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) and Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE) – witnessed loss in share price indices on Monday (March 13), the second day of the trading week.
DSEX, the prime index of Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE), shed over 16.53 points or 0.29 percent to stand at 5659.72 points at the end of day’s trading.
Trade deals stood at 163,991 with the transaction over Tk 10013.31 million. Of the issues traded, 123 advanced, 158 declined and 47 remained unchanged.
Bangladesh Export Import Company Ltd. topped the turnover list with shares worth Tk 443.74 million having changed hands on the day.
The Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE) also followed the suit, as CSCX, the prime index of the port city bourse, lost over 19.86 points to stand at 10639.21 points.
Of the issues traded in the port city share market, 92 gained, 132 declined and 32 remained unchanged. The total value of exchange was over Tk 626.91 million.
