DHAKA: The two bourses of the country -- Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) and Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE) – witnessed gain in share price indices on Tuesday (March 28), the third day of the trading week.

DSEX, the prime index of Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE), acquired over 39.48 points or 0.69 percent to stand at 5737.41 points at the end of day’s trading.

Trade deals stood at 139,516 with the transaction over Tk 9959.38 million. Of the issues traded, 120 advanced, 171 declined and 37 remained unchanged.

City Bank Ltd. topped the turnover list with shares worth Tk 616.81 million having changed hands on the day.

The Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE) also followed the suit, as CSCX, the prime index of the port city bourse, gained over 76.67 points to stand at 10787.85 points.

Of the issues traded in the port city share market, 102 gained, 122 declined and 27 remained unchanged. The total value of exchange was over Tk 665.09 million.
