DHAKA: The Supreme Court on Thursday (March 30) canceled the High Court order that suspended the date of election of the governing body of Federation of Bangladesh Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FBCCI).
A bench of the Appellate Division, led by Chief Justice Surendra Kumar Sinha, passed the order in the morning.
Lawyers’ said there is no more bar to hold the election on May 14.
The bench also ordered to include Mymensingh chamber president Aminul Haque Shamim, who appealed for election suspension, as divisional representative by May 30.
