DHAKA: The two bourses of the country -- Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) and Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE) -- witnessed gain in share price indices on Monday (April 3), the second session of the trading week.
DSEX, the prime index of Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE), gained over 47.96 points or 0.84 percent to stand at 5739.33 points at the end of day’s trading.
Trade deals stood at 139,707 with the transaction over Tk 9382.88 million. Of the issues traded, 161 advanced, 129 declined and 39 remained unchanged.
LankaBangla Finance Ltd. topped the turnover list with shares worth Tk 448.60 million having changed hands on the day.
The Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE) also followed the suit, as CSCX, the prime index of the port city bourse, acquired over 102.25 points to stand at 10791.01 points.
Of the issues traded in the port city share market, 131 gained, 86 declined and 27 remained unchanged. The total value of exchange was over Tk 653.64 million.
