DHAKA: The two bourses of the country -- Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) and Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE) -- witnessed gain in share price indices on Wednesday (April 26), the fourth session of the trading week.
DSEX, the prime index of Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE), acquired over 47.90 points or 0.87 percent to stand at 5517.37 points at the end of day’s trading.
Trade deals stood at 111,326 with the transaction over Tk 6778.07 million. Of the issues traded, 201 advanced, 85 declined and 42 remained unchanged.
LankaBangla Finance Ltd. topped the turnover list with shares worth Tk 688.89 million having changed on the day.
The Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE) also followed the suit, as CSCX, the prime index of the port city bourse, gained over 88.29 points to stand at 10361.31 points.
Of the issues traded in the port city share market, 150 gained, 63 declined and 27 remained unchanged. The total value of exchange was over Tk 476.46 million.
