DHAKA: The two bourses of the country -- Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) and Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE) -- witnessed loss in share price indices on Sunday (April 30), the first day of the trading week.
DSEX, the prime index of Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE), shed over 58.86 points or 1.06 percent to stand at 5475.55 points at the end of day’s trading.
Trade deals stood at 111,552 with the transaction over Tk 6147.567 million. Of the issues traded, 80 advanced, 209 declined and 34 remained unchanged.
SAIFPOWER topped the turnover list with shares worth Tk 298.5430 million having changed on the day.
The Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE) also followed the suit, as CSCX, the prime index of the port city bourse, shed over 103.6858 points to stand at 10303.4286 points.
Of the 219 issues traded in the port city share market, 59 gained, 145 declined and 15 remained unchanged. The total value of exchange was over Tk 371.90 million.
