DHAKA: The benchmark indices of the country’s two bourses – Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) and Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE) – witnessed gain on Monday (July 24), the second trading day of the week.

The key index of Dhaka Stock Exchange, DSEX, gained over 22.52 points and 0.38 percent to stand at 5798.11 at the end of trading.

Trade deals stood at 94,670 with transaction at Tk 6313.9 million.

Of the issues traded, 182 advanced, 100 declined and 48 remained unchanged.

IFADAUTOS topped the turnover list with shares worth Tk 337.20 million having changed hands on the day.

Chittagong stocks also followed the trend, as CSCX, the prime index, gained 45.93 points to stand at 10870.43.

Out of the 243 issues traded, 142 gained, 73 declined and 28 remained unchanged. The total value of exchange was over Tk 382.60 million.
