BANDARBAN: Hotels, motels in Bandarban offer 40% off as tourists have been decreased in number due to flood, landslides, and unfriendly weather and the Rohingya crisis.

Md. Sirajul Islam, General Secretary of Hotel Owners Association of Bandarban, confirmed the matter to Banglanews.

Sirajul Islam said that since July of 2017, tourism business is going through crisis on account of natural disasters and Rohingya crisis.

The discount offer applies to 45 hotels and motels of district association.

This offer takes effect from September 17 to September 27, a total of 10 days with 40% on accommodation.
 
Manik Chowdhury, Manager of the Shornoshila Residential Hotel of the district, said that business running bad for the last three months.

Many employees have been fired as we can’t cope with loss, the manager said.
