DHAKA: As the country’s young generation is very much interested to develop their career in the ICT (Information Communication and Technology) sector, they need proper guidelines and opportunities of work.
Keeping things in mind, BASIS organized the 'ICT Carrier Camp' on Sunday afternoon at Celebrity Hall, BICC in Dhaka.
In cooperation with BASIS Student Forum, the Camp was moderated by BASIS Director Delowar Hossain Faruk.
In the day-long event, the leaders of the country’s ICT sector inspired the newcomers by focusing on how to become successful in the field. Some of them put emphasis on changes of old concepts to cope with new ways and ideas.
The companies, who collected CVs for recruitment during the Career Camp session, are-- Radisson Digital Technologies Ltd, Mfasia, Nerd Castle, ADN Group, Bagdoom.com, Magnus Corporation Ltd, Babylon Resources, SSL Wireless, Cloud Solution Ltd and Leadsoft Bangladesh Ltd.
Convener of BASIS SoftExpo 2018 Mosatafizur Rahaman Sohel said youths are now aware of own careers now. They need to be inspired. Both the target and the dream of Digital Bangladesh will be attained if they are given proper guidance and opportunities, he added.
BASIS president Syed Almas Kabir said, “As our market is ready, we should take initiative to find out skilled and efficient people. The arrangement like BASIS SoftExpo can explore such possibilities. BASIS will always work to stay beside the new and small entrepreneurs.”
Not only from the ICT, students from all disciplines, can participate in this camp. The students, who are interested in building their careers abroad after completing their studies, will be benefited from the camp.
