DHAKA: Finance Minister AMA Muhith has started placing the 47th national budget for Fiscal Year 2018-19 in the Parliament on Thursday afternoon (June 7).

After placing the supplementary budget for 2017-18 at 12:40 pm, finance minister AMA Muhith started reading out the proposed budget for 2018-19 financial year in the parliament.

Earlier in the day, the cabinet approved the budget of Tk 4,64,573 crore.

This is the fifth budget of the incumbent Awami League-led government.

Like previous years, the budget is being presented on PowerPoint and is available on the website of the finance department at www.mof.gov.bd.
