DHAKA: Anwarul Islam has been promoted to General Manager (GM) of Bangladesh Bank.
Earlier, he worked as Assistant Spokesman and Deputy General Manager of the Financial Inclusion Division of the Central Bank.
Anwarul Islam joined Bangladesh Bank as Assistant Director in 1993.
He also, a graduate in English of Jahangirnagar University, worked as a staff reporter for Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha (BSS).
