DHAKA: Nine new products, among 35 items, will get export subsidy or cash incentive facilities in fiscal year 2018-19.

Earlier 26 items used to have the facility. The government now added nine new products in the export subsidy list to encourage export trade. The subsidies will be reimbursed from July 12 this year to June 30 in 2019.

Bangladesh Bank issued a notification on Monday (Sep 10) giving instructions to banks involved in foreign currency transactions. 

According to the notification, 10 percent cash incentives will be given to products of pharmaceuticals, Photovoltaic Module, Motorcycle, Chemicals (Chlorine, Hydrochloric Acid, Caustic Soda and Hydrogen per oxide), Razor and razor blades, ceramics, caps, crabs and eel fish (Frozen and Soft cell, with clearance of Environment and Forest Department) and Galvanized Sheet/Coils (Coated with Zinc, Coated with Aluminum I Zinc Ges Color Coated).

Moreover, cash incentives for previous 26 products will remain in place.
