DHAKA:  Aside from establishing transparency, accountability and rule of law, Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina directed the authorities concerned to implement all initiatives taken by the government for the development of capital market.

Besides, she advised small investors to invest in the capital market with a sense of proportion. Therefore, no one suffers loss.

The premier came up with this piece of advice while speaking at a program marking celebrations of the Silver Jubilee of Bangladesh Securities and Exchange Commission (BSEC) at Bangabandhu International Conference Centre (BICC) on Wednesday (September 12).

"We call upon all associated with the capital market  including BSEC to play a proactive role in order to strengthen economy, ensure security of investors, and increase contribution of capital market in terms of financing large projects,” Sheikh Hasina added. 

Finance Minister AMA Muhith also spoke at the program.
