DHAKA: The per capita income decreases to $1,751 in the current fiscal year from the last fiscal year's $1,752.
Planning Minister AHM Mustafa Kamal Kamal disclosed the information before Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina at the ECNEC meeting at the NEC conference room Tuesday (Sept 18).
The per capita income has decreased by one dollar as US dollar got stronger than Bangladesh’s Taka, he said.
However, the size of the country's gross domestic product (GDP) has rose to 7.86 percent, crossing the target amount of 7.4 percent.
As the meeting ended, the minister revealed a report of Bangladesh Bureau of Survey (BBS).
