DHAKA: In addition to the existing ‘017’ series, the country’s leading mobile phone operator Grameenphone (GP) launched a new number series ‘013’ for its users.

Bangladesh Telecommunication Regulatory Commission (BTRC) Director General (E&O) Brigadier General Mohammad Mustafa Kamal inaugurated the new number series as the chief guest at a city hotel on Sunday (October 14). 

Grameenphone deputy CEO and CMO Yasir Azman, Chief Corporate Affairs Officer Mahmud Hossain and other senior officials of the organization attended the event. 

Yasir Azman made the first call with a number of the new series to telecommunications minister Mustafa Jabber.

While speaking over phone, the minister thanked Yasir Azman for the courage of expanding the network across the country. “I firmly believe that it will not be difficult for you to maintain the quality of service for the large number of customers,” he added.

BTRC Director General Mohammad Mustafa Kamal congratulated Grameenphone for introducing the series 013 in a very short time.

He hoped that the organization will be able to maintain quality services according to their reputation.
