DHAKA: The benchmark indices of the country’s two bourses – Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) and Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE) – witnessed gain on Monday (December 3), the second trading session of the week.
DSEX, the key index of prime bourse, advanced 5.78 points or 0.10 percent to stand at 5296.55 at the end of day trading.
Trade deals stood at 1,39,861 with transaction at Tk 5,498.62 million.
Of the issues traded, 176 advanced, 110 declined and 53 remained unchanged.
The Paramount Textile Limited topped the turnover list with shares worth Tk 187.87 million having changed hands on the day.
The other toppers are Advent Pharma Limited, Indo-Bangla Pharmaceuticals Limited, Khulna Power Company Limited, Kattali Textile Limited, National Housing Fin. and Inv. Ltd, Keya Cosmetics Ltd, Square Pharmaceuticals Limited, M.L Dying Limited and Silva Pharmaceuticals Limited.
Chittagong stocks also followed the trend, as CASPI, the overall share index, climbed up to 16226.41 by gaining over 38 points on the day.
Out of the issues traded, 129 gained, 86 declined and 28 remained unchanged. The total value of exchange was over Tk. 268.51 million.
