DHAKA: The two bourses of the country -- Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) and Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE) -- witnessed loss of share prices indices on Monday (Dec 10), the second trading session of the week.
DSEX, the prime index of DSE, shed over 10.53 points or 0.19 percent to stand at 5,295.69 points at the end of day’s trading.
Trade deals stood at 155,100 with transaction at over Tk 5,676.78 million. Of the issues traded, 110 advanced, 198 declined and 36 remained unchanged.
Wata Chemicals Limited topped the turnover list with shares worth Tk 209.40 million having changed hands on the day.
Other toppers of the market were Square Pharmaceuticals Ltd, Pharma Aids, Khulna Power Company Limited, National Tea Company Ltd, United Power Generation and Distribution Company Ltd, JMI Syringes & Medical Devices Ltd, Sinali Aansh Bangladesh Ltd, Dragon Sweater & Spinning Mills Ltd and Indo-Bangla Pharmaceuticals Ltd.
Meanwhile, the CSE also followed the trend as CASPI, the overall index of the port city bourse, lost over 53.93 points to stand at 16,203 on Monday.
Of the issues traded in the port city share market, 66 gained, 158 declined and 28 remained unchanged. The total value of exchange was over Tk 256.13 million on the day.
