DHAKA: Bangladesh Jewellers Samity (BJS) has again increased gold prices within five months of interval.

According to new price chart, per bhori (11.664 grams) finest refined gold (22-carat) has been increased to Tk. 1516.   

Therefore, per bhori 22-carat gold will be sold at Taka 48,988 from Wednesday (January 2).  

However, silver prices remain unchanged.

The revised prices of gold were disclosed in a notice signed by BJS general secretary Dwilip Kumar Agarwal on Tuesday (January 1).
