DHAKA: Finance Minister AHM Mustafa Kamal said country’s existing education system needs massive reform, because it is not updated.
AHM Mustafa Kamal came up with the opinion at a function held at the conference room of National Board of Revenue (NBR) on Thursday (January 24).
The minister said, “It is impossible to meet the needs of the fourth industrial revolution which is expected by 2041, with the existing education system”.
“The existing education system has to be restructured because it is not technology-based,” the minister added.
“With this education system, it is impossible to fulfill the demands of the present and the future. So, massive reforms required in the education system,” Kamal added.
In the function, chaired by NBR chairman Md Mosharraf Hossain Bhuiyan, former finance minister AMA Muhith was given a farewell and new finance minister AHM Mustafa Kamal was welcomed.
