DHAKA: The National Board of Revenue (NBR) collected Tk 98,027 crore as revenue in the first six months of current fiscal year 2018-19, says its chairman Md Mosharraf Hossain Bhuiyan.
NBR chairman said, “In the 1st six months, revenue growth has increased to 6. 36percent. Growth is likely to get better in the next 6 months, which is why a special team has been formed for it.”
The information was revealed during a press conference at NBR conference room on Thursday (January 24).
Senior officials of customs and NBR member were present there.
The news conference was organized on the occasion of International Customs Day on January 26.
