DHAKA: Finance Minister AHM Mustafa Kamal said Asian Development Bank (ADB) will extend its support for new projects and new areas in future apart from continuing support for the ongoing projects.
The finance minister told reporters after emerging from a meeting with ADB’s country director Monmahan Prakash at ministry’s office in city’s Sher-E-Bangla Nagar on Tuesday (February 5).
The finance minister said, “ADB wants proper implementation of development projects which are financed by it. We, too, have enhanced implementation of projects.”
“Our relationship with ADB is getting better day by day. New government has started work. We hope, it continues its support during this government. Aid for the projects, the ones for which we were receiving funds, will remain in motion,” AHM Mustafa Kamal further said.
