DHAKA: All share price indices in the country’s both bourses -- Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) and Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE) -- closed the session in positive on Thursday (Feb 7). 

DSE turnover has reached Tk 7729.78 million changed hands while Wednesday’s turnover was Tk 7668.48 million.

DSEX, the DSE benchmark index, went up by 25.91 points or 0.44 percent to reach 5,811.92 at the close of last day’s trading of the week.

The DSE Shariah Index (DSES) also advanced 11.36points or 0.86 per cent to close at 1323.40. The DS30 comprising blue chips rose over 3.51 points or 0.17 per cent to close at 2,026.09 points.

Of the issues traded, 161 gained, 145 declined and 40 remained unchanged.

United Power Generation and Distribution Company Ltd topped the chart of turnover leaders with a value of Tk 760.49 million.

The day’s five gainers at the DSE were   BSCCL,    SONARBAINS, SONALIANSH, STYLECRAFT and RENWICKJA.

The CSE key index, CSCX, also went up by 63 points to reach 17,781 points at the close today.

Of the 275 issues traded, 124 advanced, 118 suffered loss and 33 remained unchanged.

The value of the traded issues was Tk 268.66 million on Thursday.
