DHAKA: Canada has expressed interest in cooperating to improve the quality of services at airports in Bangladesh.
“Canada is interested to cooperate in the development of airports in Bangladesh, it safety and certification in air transport sectors,” said Benoit Préfontaine, High Commissioner of Canada in Bangladesh.
He expressed his country’s eagerness to invest in Bangladesh during a meeting with Md Mahbub Ali, State Minister for Civil Aviation and Tourism Ministry, at secretariat on Sunday (Feb 24).
A delegation of Canadian Commercial Corporation led-by Benoit Préfontaine, took part in the meeting.
Under the leadership of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, there is currently a wonderful bilateral relationship between Bangladesh and Canada. This relationship will be stronger in future, the state minister also hoped.
Muhibul Haque, Secretary of Civil Aviation and Tourism Ministry, Carl Marcotte, Vice President of Canadian Commercial Corporation and its Regional Director (Asia) Yvonne Chin were, among others, at the meeting.
