Meena Bazar fined for tobacco ad The mobile court run activity in front of the shop.

DHAKA: A mobile court on Tuesday (Feb 26) fined chain shop Meena Bazar Tk 1.5 lakh in Dhaka for running advertisement of tobacco product.  

A shop of the chains in Mohammadia Housing Society area of Mohammadpur was found carrying advertisement of Benson & Hedges cigarettes.

Dhaka North City Corporation (DNCC) Zone-5 Regional Executive Officer and Executive Magistrate Meer Nahid Ahsan directed the court vowing implementation of tobacco control law.

DNCC Zone-5 Health Inspector Abdul Khalek Mazumder and Dhaka Ahsania Mission representatives were present.
