DHAKA: Key share price index in the country’s both bourses -- Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) and Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE) – started this week in green on Sunday (March 3).
DSE turnover has reached Tk 6,622.73 million changed hands while previous session’s turnover was Tk 6,892.48 million.
DSEX, the DSE benchmark index, gained 11.24 points, or 0.19 percent, to reach 5,723 at the close of day’s trading.
The DSE Shariah Index (DSES) also advanced 3.27 points or 0.24 per cent to close at 1,317.91.
The DS30 comprising blue chips rose over 3.77 points or 0.18 per cent to close at 2,002 points.
Of the issues traded, 139 gained, 153 declined and 48 remained unchanged.
Monno Ceramic Industries Ltd topped the chart of turnover leaders with a value of Tk 387.30 million followed by Singer Bangladesh, Premier Bank, Fortune Shoes, Bangladesh Submarine Cable Co, Alif Industries, United Power Generation and Distribution Co, Monno Jute Stafflers and National Tubes.
The day’s top five gainers at the DSE were INTECH, LHBL, MONNOCERA, VFSTDL and PREMIERBAN.
The CSE overall share index, CSAPI, also went up by 28.42 points to reach 17,501.90 at the close today.
Of the 254 issues traded, 118 advanced, 95 suffered loss and 41 remained unchanged.
The value of the traded issues was Tk 491.34 million on Sunday.
