DHAKA: Share price indices at the country’s both bourses witnessed upward trend in the first two hours of trading on Wednesday (Mar 6), the fourth session of the week.
DSEX, the benchmark index of Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE), went up by 3.14 points or 0.05 percent to stand at 5,690.63 at 12:20 pm.
The DSE Shariah Index (DSES) advanced 0.58 points or 0.04 percent to stand at 1,304.78 points.
But the DS30 index, comprising blue chips shed over 4.18 points or 0.20 percent to stand at 1,991.72 points.
Trade deals stood at 52,418 with transaction at over Tk 2,446.81 million on the DSE.
Of the issues traded till then, 155 advanced, 111 declined and 67 issues remained unchanged.
Monno Ceramic Industries Ltd dominated the turnover chart with shares worth Tk 198.24 million changing hands till then followed by Singer Bangladesh, Alif Industries and Dutch-Bangla Bank Ltd.
The port city bourse - Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE) also saw positive trend till then with its Selective Category Index – CSCX - advancing 0.96 points to stand at 1,271.67 points, also at 12:19 pm.
Of the issues traded till then, 81 gained, 51 declined and 34 remained unchanged with a turnover value of Tk 62.95 million.
