DHAKA: The premier bourse of the country, Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) witnessed loss on Wednesday (Mar 6) while Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE) returned to graining streak.
The DSE key index, DSEX dropped 1.10 points or 0.01 percent to close at 5,686 on the day.
Of the issues traded, 115 gained, 180 declined and 51 remained unchanged.
Shares worth Tk 5688.72 million changed hands at the DSE on Wednesday as against Tk 5751.89 million on Tuesday.
Savar Refractories Ltd topped the loser’s list at Dhaka bourse while other companies were MEGHNAPET, MEGCONMILK, IMAMBUTTON and PREMIERBAN.
The top five turnover leaders at the DSE were MONNOCERA, SINGERBD, UPDCL, AIL and BSCCL.
Top five gainers at the DSE were PF1STMF, TAKAFULINS, SKTRIMS, RUPALIBANK and PROVATIINS.
The overall share index at the Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE), CASPI gained 19.43 points to reach 17,422 at close on Sunday.
Of the 246 issues traded, 93 advanced, 118 suffered loss and 35 remained unchanged.
The value of the traded issues at the port city bourse was Tk 195.31 million on the day.
